Baggies take on Coventry in Birmingham County Cup
SPORTING Club Albion Ladies meet Coventry City in the Birmingham County Cup final tomorrow night at Damson Park, Solihull (Ko 7.30pm).
The Baggies have seen off Halesowen Town, Solihull Moors and Wolves to get to this stage of the competition.
Albion have netted 27 goals in the four previous rounds and have only conceded three.
And manager Dave Lawrence believes his side have got what it takes to beat Coventry and lift the cup.
“We’re all excited about the cup final,” said Lawrence.
“We’ve had some really good training sessions lately and I feel as though we’re prepared.
“The message will be to go out and enjoy it.
“It should be an exciting evening and hopefully an entertaining match.”
Lawrence is backing his side to overcome their FA Women’s Premier League (National Division) opponents.
“I’ve never taken this side to a final so it’s a first time for me too but Coventry are a top side as well,” he added.
“I hope we can capitalise on the fact they haven’t played much lately and we can work that to our advantage.”
Tickets for tomorrow night’s cup final are priced £3 for adults so why not come along and show your support for The Baggies?
