Clarke upbeat on injury front

Boss provides news on Brunt and Morrison

STEVE Clarke has revealed James Morrison missed training today due to a bruised toe – but is hopeful the Baggies midfielder will be available to face Norwich on Sunday (ko 3pm).

The Baggies boss was buoyed by the return to the training pitch of skipper Chris Brunt, who has missed the last three games due to a knee injury.

And Clarke does not expect to have any major injury concerns for the trip to Carrow Road.

“Chris joined in training today, which is good," he said.

“James Morrison didn’t train today because he had a bruise on his toe.

“I would be disappointed if he’s not alright for Sunday.

“We have one or two other little bumps and bruises.

“But I don’t envisage having any big injury problems at the weekend.”

Marc-Antoine Fortune will serve the third game of his three-match ban for his red card at Southampton.
