Ladies go in search of Wolves hat-trick

SCA hoping for third-successive derby win

SPORTING Club Albion ladies will be looking to complete a hat-trick of Black Country derby triumphs over Wolves at Halesowen Town FC on Sunday (ko 2pm).

The Baggies overcame their local rivals 4-0 in October’s corresponding fixture – before recording a 2-0 win in last month’s Birmingham County Cup semi-final.

And ladies manager Dave Lawrence is confident his side can defeat Wanderers for a third time if they play to their strengths at the weekend.

“Our two wins over Wolves were very different; the first one was hugely impressive, running out comprehensive 4-0 winners in an excellent performance,” said Lawrence.

“In our second game against Wolves our performance wasn’t so convincing and we relied on two set-pieces to squeeze past them.

“This time round I am confident we can get another win, but we will need to replicate the first game in terms of how we go about things.”
