Olsson back for injury-hit Baggies

JONAS Olsson (groin) returns from a three-game absence to take his place in an injury-hit Baggies side.

Steve Clarke makes four changes – two enforced - to the team that drew 1-1 in last weekend’s third-round FA Cup tie at QPR.

Ben Foster, Graham Dorrans and Jerome Thomas, who makes his first Barclays Premier League appearance of the campaign, also come into the Albion starting XI.

The men to make way are injured duo Shane Long, who misses out on a return to his former club, and Zoltan Gera (knee), as well as benched duo Boaz Myhill and Gabriel Tamas.

Goran Popov has shaken off a hamstring injury to return to the bench.

But Clarke is also unable to call upon injured quartet Peter Odemwingie, Steven Reid (shin), Claudio Yacob (hamstring) and Marc-Antoine Fortune, while Youssouf Mulumbu is on African Nations Cup duty with DR Congo.

Their absence means 18-year-old striker Adil Nabi makes a top-flight matchday squad for the first time, as he takes a place among the substitutes.

Brian McDermott makes seven changes to the Royals team that beat Crawley 3-1 in the FA Cup last Saturday.

Chris Gunter, Adrian Mariappa, Pavel Pogrebnyak, Jobi McAnuff, Jimmy Kebe, Danny Guthrie and new signing Daniel Carrico come in.

Six players – Adam Le Fondre, Noel Hunt, Garath McCleary, Sean Morrison, ex-Baggies loanee Shaun Cummings and Hope Akpan - drop to the bench, while Hal Robson-Kanu misses out through injury.
