Worcester Fans’ Forum a 'hit'

Morrison, Long, Sneekes and Hamilton at New Road

JAMES Morrison and Shane Long joined stars of the ‘90s Richards Sneekes and Ian Hamilton at The Albion Foundation’s first-ever Worcester Fans’ Forum last week.

Over 100 supporters turned out to quiz the Baggies’ past and present stars at Worcestershire County Cricket Club on Wednesday.

Fans enjoyed curry and a pint while Free Radio’s Tom Ross walked the floor enabling attendees to ask their questions.

“It was a pleasure meeting the fans from the Worcester area and answering their questions and obviously it was all in a good cause with raising money for the Foundation,” said James Morrison.

Supporters’ comments:

“It was my 66th birthday, so it was great to celebrate with top-class Albion players.  It was also the 66th anniversary of when I started supporting West Brom,” said Richard Shaw.

He added: “Please pass on our appreciation to James, Shane, Ian and Richard. As ordinary fans we really appreciate them coming to Worcester. I have never known a fans’ forum in Worcester before.”

“Many thanks to all involved last night. It was a thoroughly entertaining evening and the four players were all fantastic and made my son very happy,” stated Gary Whittle.
