SCA Ladies face cup double

Two important games in space of four days for Baggies

SPORTING Club Albion Ladies return to action this Sunday (ko 10.30am) as they visit Leafield Ladies in the FA Cup third round.

The Baggies will be chomping at the bit to get back on the pitch as their last three games have been called off due to the bad weather.

But they should be encouraged by their good form on their travels, having bagged 20 goals in six games.

Manager Dave Lawrence said: “I’m very confident, not because of the opposition, but because of the spirit and desire amongst our girls.

“If we were playing against any team I would be confident.

“Anyone can beat anyone on their day; I just hope it’s our turn to get what we deserve.”

Sporting Club Albion Ladies will also be in action on Wednesday night, taking on Halesowen Ladies in the Birmingham County Cup quarter final.

Although both teams play their home games at The Grove, the Baggies have been drawn as the hosts.
