Lukaku wins Zoopla Player of the Month

Baggies striker voted top man in January

ZOOPLA’S Player of the Month award for January has been won by the club’s current top goalscorer Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgium international netted three goals in four league games during an otherwise difficult period for the Baggies.

The 19-year-old scored Albion’s first goal of 2013 in the New Year’s Day defeat by Fulham at The Hawthorns and also fired a brace in the Baggies’ 3-2 loss at Reading 11 days later.

Lukaku’s January strikes meant he became the third player to score ten Barclays Premier League goals in a season for Albion – with only Robert Earnshaw (2004/05) and Peter Odemwingie (2010/11 & 2011/12) going before him.

Thanks to Zoopla, Albion supporters Iain Caldecott and son Hayden, from Sutton Coldfield (pictured), presented the forward with his prize at the club’s training ground yesterday after original winner Nicola Anne Chesterton was unable to attend and asked the club to give away the prize via Facebook (WestBromwichAlbionofficial).

For your chance to present the February award, all you need to do is vote for which Albion player you think has been the stand-out performer when we open the voting on Facebook next month.

All supporters who nominate the winning player will stand a chance of being chosen at random to congratulate the star man in person – and have their picture taken with the player.
