Boss upbeat as he takes stock of squad ahead of Liverpool trip
STEVE Clarke is hoping to have a full squad to select from for Monday’s clash with Liverpool (ko 8pm).The Baggies boss admitted some of the seven international players he had away on midweek duty have returned with knocks and niggles.
But he says the only player who is a doubt for the Anfield trip at this stage is Jerome Thomas, who was today sent home with flu.
Clarke has also yet to decide if Peter Odemwingie will be involved in the squad that faces the Reds.
The Baggies boss said: “Youssouf has trained the last couple of days and has looked good.
“He’s always enthusiastic and is infectious around the place.
“It’s good to have him back."
Goran Popov will miss the Merseyside encounter as he serves the first game of his three-match ban.
