New-look Albion news - it's jazzy!

Matchday programme on sale at tomorrow's game with Saints

WELCOME to the new season and welcome to the new, jazzed up, Albion News, available for our opening fixture with Southampton tomorrow (ko 3pm).

Inside the new-look programme, there is a multitude of reading matter to set you up for the new campaign, starting with Chris Brunt’s analysis of how pre-season has panned out and what we can expect from Albion in the months to come.

In his regular column, the legendary Tony Brown looks into how pre-season operated in his day and recalls that certain players didn’t always come back in July in the same shape that they’d left in May.

Bomber also gives us an in depth, goalscorer’s eye view of the strikers going head to head on Saturday, Nicolas Anelka and Rickie Lambert.

Head Coach Steve Clarke returns with his pre-match notes ahead of the new campaign, counselling us all on the targets that matter most for the club this season.

Elsewhere, Mauricio Pochettino’s Southampton are put under the microscope and there is also a reminder of the magical finale to last season and that exceptional game against Manchester United, plus a full report on last week’s friendly with Bologna.

Academy Manager Mark Harrison gives you the inside track on EPPP and the Izzy Brown move to Chelsea and we round up the summer news from the Albion Foundation.

There is the first part of a lengthy interview with Derek McInnes, reflecting on the Albion renaissance at the start of the century and the start of a new series, “Rhapsody In Blue & White”, detailing some of the great games in Albion history.

We take a view on the advent of goal line technology and flick through the pages of programmes past from Albion versus Southampton.

There’s plenty more in our 84 pages to boot, and all for just £3 from all around The Hawthorns on Saturday.

Subscriptions for the 2013/14 season will include all home league and cup games, and costs £75 (UK) including p&p.
