Baggies could move second with a victory
SPORTING Club Albion Ladies could climb to second in the FA Women’s Premier League (Northern Division) with a win at Preston North End on Sunday (ko 2pm).
The Baggies sit third going into the weekend’s fixtures, while second-placed Nottingham Forest travel to Wolves.
Albion will be looking to continue their impressive run of form – with ten points from their last four games – against the Lilywhites.
But manager Dave Lawrence believes Sunday’s fourth-placed opposition will prove to be a difficult test for his in-form side .
“The last few games have shown we can be consistent in terms of results and performances haven't been bad either.
“We hope to sustain this consistency between now and the end of the season.
“I think Preston have done better than most people expected at the start of the season,” said Lawrence.
“They don't concede many goals and are very disciplined in terms of their shape.
“Because of that, it will be a tight game from the start, but we will be trying to affect their balance and attack with ideas.”
