Baggies well beaten in Premier League fixture
ALBION Under-18s fell to a disappointing 4-0 defeat at West Ham United in the Barclays Under-18 Premier League on Saturday.
Goals for Nathan Mavila, Taylor Miles and a Kieran Sadlier brace secured victory for the Hammers as the Baggies stumbled to their third successive loss.
And Albion will be hoping to bounce back in Saturday’s home match-up with bottom-of-the-league Norwich City (ko 12pm).
Lead professional development coach James Shan said: "We didn't really create any clear-cut chances and though we played some good football, we weren't good enough in the final third of the pitch.
"The long and short of it at the moment is that we're good in between the two penalty areas but we're struggling at each end of the pitch."
ALBION: Lewis; Francis, Greenidge, Pace, Howkins, C Jones, Ambalu (Oldnall 63), S Nabi (Birch 66), A Jones, I Brown, Wedderburn (Barrow 58). Subs not used: Palmer, McCalla.
