Lukaku handed full Baggies debut

ROMELU Lukaku is handed his full Baggies debut as Steve Clarke makes three changes – one enforced - to the team that lost 3-0 at Fulham last weekend.

The on-loan Chelsea man will spearhead the attack as he replaces the benched Shane Long, who misses out on a start against his former club.

Skipper Chris Brunt earns his first Barclays Premier League start of the campaign as he slots in for the suspended Peter Odemwingie in midfield.

And Zoltan Gera makes Clarke’s league starting XI for the first time since the opening day, with Marc-Antoine Fortune dropping to substitute.

Steven Reid has failed to overcome a hamstring injury in time and misses his second successive game, meaning Billy Jones continues at right-back.

Brian McDermott makes two changes to the Royals team that lost 3-1 to Tottenham last weekend.

Former Baggie Nicky Shorey starts in place of Ian Harte, who is not involved at all, on his first return to The Hawthorns and Adam LeFondre comes in for the benched Jem Karacan.
