Boss hails 'danger man' Mozza

And Clarke happy club have tied down key players

STEVE Clarke believes James Morrison has fast become one of the Barclays Premier League’s danger men.

The Baggies midfielder was again instrumental in securing a fourth successive home win in Saturday’s 3-2 victory over QPR.

And, having seen Morrison last month sign a new four-year deal, Clarke is relishing him going from strength to strength at The Hawthorns.

“You work at other clubs and you notice players playing for the opponents, who you know will cause you problems,” said the Albion boss.

“James might be unsung by outsiders but I think people at Albion and the supporters appreciate James.

“At a couple of pre-match meetings at previous clubs James would come up as one of the players you'd need to look after and be wary of his qualities.

“The qualities James has is one of the reasons we offered him a new contract.

“As I said a few weeks ago we're delighted he signed a new contract as we are that Jonas Olsson has signed a new contract.

“These players are really important to us.

“It's important we bring fresh bodies into the club but it's important we keep the established players here and credit to the club that we kept both.”
