Interesting facts

If Chris Brunt plays against the Potters tomorrow it will be his 200th appearance for Albion in all competitions.

Apart from champions Manchester City, the Baggies boast the best home record in the Barclays Premier League.

Tomorrow’s game will pit Albion as joint-fifth top scorers (24) in the Barclays Premier League against Stoke as the team with the second best defence in the division, having conceded just 12 goals.

This is the Baggies’ best start to a top-flight campaign, with 14 games played, since the 1978/79 season.

Albion have lost all their Barclays Premier League fixtures with Stoke at The Hawthorns – failing to score on all three occasions.

The Baggies have not won on home soil against the Potters since Scott Dobie’s strike secured a 1-0 Championship victory in September 2003. Since then they have lost four and drawn one of their five meetings at The Hawthorns.

The Baggies’ win at the Britannia Stadium in January was their first on Stoke soil in almost 30 years.
