Baggies to visit Solihull Ladies in County Cup second round
SPORTING Club Albion Ladies are back in action this Sunday, as they visit Solihull Ladies in the second round of the County Cup (ko 1pm).After last week’s league tie against Blackburn Rovers was postponed due to bad weather, Albion Ladies will be chomping at the bit to get underway at the Portland Pavilion Sports Club this weekend.
Manager Dave Lawrence (pictured) saw his side reach the quarter-finals of this competition last season and he believes his side can progress even further in the competition this year.
“We are really keen to go further than we did last year, losing as early as we did was bitterly disappointing,” he said.
“We think this year, our attitude is better for providing a cup run - and this is a competition I expect us to go far in.”
