Olsson sees first pre-season action against Danish giants

JONAS Olsson sees his first pre-season action as Steve Clarke continues to experiment with his line-up in tonight’s friendly at Copenhagen (ko 6pm BST/7pm local time).

Olsson, who was given an extended break due to his Euro 2012 appearances with Sweden, is captain and starts alongside Gareth McAuley in central defence.

Jerome Thomas missed the start of the Scandinavia mini-tour through a minor injury but flew out to join up with the squad on Sunday and he lines up in a three-man attack.

Zoltan Gera is included for the first time in eight months after recovering from a knee injury and is joined on the bench by the club's other Euro 2012 appearance-makers, Simon Cox and Shane Long.

However, Ben Foster misses out with a minor ankle problem and Albion’s final tour fixture has come too soon for new boy Claudio Yacob, who only completed his permanent deal last night.
