BEN Foster hopes to bring his losing run at Old Trafford to an end in Saturday’s clash with the 12-time Barclays Premier League champions (ko 3pm).
The 29-year-old enjoyed a five-year spell at Manchester United but has shipped seven goals in his two visits to the North West since leaving the club in 2010.
Foster was part of the Blues side which were defeated 5-0 by the Red Devils two seasons ago, before losing 2-0 there with Albion last term.
And the 6ft4in stopper hopes he is able to frustrate his previous employers throughout tomorrow afternoon’s fixture as Steve Clarke’s outfit go in search of their third successive victory.
“I’ve lost every time I’ve been back there and I got ‘pumped’ 5-0 with Birmingham then we lost 2-0 there last year,” said Foster.
“But it is the same for every player, it’s special to play at Old Trafford, but with the way our team is I don’t think anybody gets too excited about games like that.
“There are a lot of teams who go there like rabbits in the headlights and get starstruck by it all but I don’t think we’re that sort of team.
“The manager won’t let anyone get like that and we will go there, business as usual, looking to get some points.
Albion’s No.1 believes the Baggies are capable of earning a result at Old Trafford – but insists his team-mates will need to keep Robin van Persie quiet.
“He’s up there as one of the top strikers in the world and with a team like United, who are a very attacking team anyway, it’s a dream come true for their fans," he added.
“When they really play well with their best attacking team, it’s a frightening thing to come up against.
“He is in everybody’s dream team, isn’t he? He’s definitely in mine and he’s captain every week, scoring double points.
“I’m going to put all the United players I have on the bench for this game and put all the West Brom defenders in for clean sheet points.”
