Rosenberg handed first Prem start as Clarke makes six changes

MARKUS Rosenberg is handed his first Barclays Premier League start as Steve Clarke makes six changes to the team that lost 3-1 at Swansea on Wednesday.

Steven Reid makes his first start since suffering a hamstring injury against Everton three months ago to the day.

He returns at right-back and Goran Popov is preferred at left-back as he makes the starting line-up for the first time since his debut in the 1-1 draw at Villa in September.

Zoltan Gera has recovered from the groin problem that saw him miss the trip to the Liberty Stadium and is recalled along with Graham Dorrans in midfield.

Shane Long returns as the frontman after sitting on the bench against the Swans.

The men to make way are Peter Odemwingie, Chris Brunt, Romelu Lukaku, Liam Ridgewell and James Morrison, who all drop to the bench, and Billy Jones, who, as well as Marc-Antoine Fortune, misses out altogether.

Tony Pulis makes one enforced change to the Potters team that beat Newcastle 2-1 last weekend.

Kenwyne Jones comes in for the injured Peter Crouch (face).
