Nathaniel joined Albion during the 2023 January transfer window.

"Nate" penned an 18-month contract with the Baggies on deadline day midway through the 2022/23 campaign to keep him at the the club until the summer of 2024.

The Chelsea youth product made his debut in navy-blue-and-white stripes as a substitute against Coventry City in February 2023, while his first start came against Blackburn Rovers later the same month.

The central midfielder is a physical presence who likes to keep the ball and start moves, break up play and do his defensive duties in, what is usually, a holding role during matches.

Nathaniel's career began at serial Premier League winners Chelsea. He made the move to Chelsea's academy from fellow London outfit Fulham at the age of ten and was a leader in the reserve/youth-team ranks. Success was achieved during his younger years with the Blues when the midfielder helped his academy team-mates lift he FA Youth Cup in 2012.

Not long after turning 17, Nate penned his first professional contract at Stamford Bridge in January 2012, but a number of loan moves would follow before he gained his senior Blues bow.

Chalobah expanded his knowledge of the game and gained crucial experience in England and abroad, with Watford, Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough, Burnley, Reading, as well as Italian giants Napoli giving the midfielder opportunities to build up his minutes in first-team football.

At Napoli, Chalobah featured in the UEFA Europa League for the first time in October 2015 and after returning to London at the end of the 2015/16 campaign, Nate's opportunity in the first team at Chelsea came courtesy of Antonio Conte.

He made his senior debut off the bench towards the end of a League Cup win over Leicester in September 2016, while his Premier League debut came as a late introduction in another victory, this time against Hull City, in October during the 2016/17 season.

Chalobah's first league start in the XI saw Blues win a thrilling 4-3 encounter with Watford at Stamford Bridge, but a long chapter at his boyhood club came to a close when he moved across the capital to sign for Watford in July 2017.

The midfielder left Chelsea with 15 appearances to his name and one great honour, in the form of a Premier League trophy from the 16/17 campaign. But his Hornets career was a progressive one in terms of his top-flight involvement, as Nate played 37 Premier League matches during his time at Vicarage Road.

Watford couldn't avoid relegation in 2020, but Chalobah ensured they went straight back up the next season - playing 40 games across all tournaments to help Watford secure the second automatic promotion place at the end of the 2020/21 term.

Despite helping the Hornets return to England's league summit, Nathaniel remained in the Championship to help another team in Fulham achieve the same feat which he'd helped Watford seal the previous campaign. Nate made 22 appearances as the Cottagers lifted the 21/22 league title and after half a season back in the top flight, the two-time promotion-winner joined Albion's fight to achieve the same thing in January 2023.

Internationally, Nate has represented England from U16-U21 at youth level and also made his senior bow for the Three Lions as a 90th-minute substitute during a 3-2 away win against Spain in October 2018.
