The male and female Football and Education programmes are tailored allow young people to play and train at an elite level whilst also gaining a qualification which can propel them into careers in coaching, physiotherapy and teaching.

The Foundation also works closely with students from the College that have a learning difficulty or disability, to offer the same prospects as everyone else but with specific and tailored guidance based around their needs.

"Over the last 12 months there has been a number of barriers with how we deliver our programmes, but Sandwell College have just been tremendous in supporting the Foundation," he said.

And for Head of Sport at the College, Scott Thomas, the partnership is all about improving and developing the programmes and the current relationship.

"We're really pleased to be able to work within the community and move forwards with our football foundation programmes," Scott said.

"We just want to continue to work with The Albion Foundation and long may that continue," he said.
