Three of Albion's international Baggies featured for their nations in FIFA World Cup qualifying on Saturday evening, with mixed results.
Callum Styles started in central midfield for Hungary as they hosted Armenia at the Puskás Aréna - playing 75 minutes in their 2-0 victory.
Dániel Lukács opened the scoring just ahead of the hour mark, before Zsombor Gruber sealed the points in the fourth minute of added time.
Elsewhere in Group F, Jayson Molumby marked his return to the Republic of Ireland squad with a starting berth for their fixture against Portugal in Lisbon.
Fellow Albion man Mikey Johnston was amongst the substitutes, coming off the bench in the 64th minute during the encounter - replacing Festy Ebosele.
But it was late heartbreak for the Albion duo, who saw their hopes if a hard-fought point dashed in added time courtesy of a late Rúben Neves strike, securing Portugal a 1-0 win.
That result keeps the Republic of Ireland rooted to the foot of their qualification group with just one point from their three games, whilst Styles' Hungary sit second, five points behind the Portuguese.

Aune Heggebø, who earned his second senior call-up to the Norway squad this month, was not included in the squad for their 5-0 demolition of Israel.
The Norwegians top Group I, having won each of their six fixtures so far - conceding just three goals whilst scoring 29 over the course of their campaign to date.
Up next for Norway comes a friendly fixture against New Zealand on Tuesday, October 14 (ko 5pm), in which Heggebø will hope to make an appearance, be it from the start or off the bench.
The Republic of Ireland are back in action on the same day too, they'll hope to bounce back from their late defeat as they host Armenia at the Aviva Stadium (ko 7.45pm).
Finally, Hungary will also get back to it on Tuesday night, when they travel to the Estádio José Alvalade to take on Portugal (ko 7.45pm).
