Green Football Weekend is just around the corner!

#GreenFootballWeekend

West Bromwich Albion & The Albion Foundation are proud to be supporting Green Football Weekend - a weekend of football fun and competitive activities to help protect our world - and we need your help to score green goals for the Baggies!

With a fan action campaign starting on Tuesday, January 17 and finishing on Sunday, February 5, millions of football fans and their clubs will come together to utilise the power of football in the battle against climate change, with 80 of the UK’s top teams involved.

Supporters can take green actions to score goals for their club via greenfootballweekend.com. Every goal scored helps the club compete for the coveted Green Football Cup, and also helps fans reduce their carbon footprint.

So we’re asking Baggies fans to play your part in pushing Albion up the Green Football Cup leaderboard by heading to greenfootballweekend.com and scoring green goals.

It really can be as simple as walking and cycling instead of driving, reducing shower time, or even eating a vegetarian meal - with each task scoring one green goal for the club.

Make sure to share your photos of your green actions across social media, using the hashtag #GreenFootballWeekend and tagging The Albion Foundation and Planet League in your posts.

The competition begins this week, a fortnight before the big weekend. Action from fans and the live leaderboard will both be broadcasted around the country by Sky and BT Sport.

All supporters that take part in Green Football Weekend and submit their actions via greenfootballweekend.com have the chance to win a range of incredible prizes, including unique match-day experiences and behind-the-scenes days at Sky and BT Sport.

Help spur the Baggies onto the Green Football Cup and join millions of football fans for a weekend of fun to tackle climate change.
