Get active and try new experiences with NCS this summer

Looking for something to do this summer and wanting to get active, make new friends, boost your CV and have fun?

Over the last 10 years, over half a million young people have benefitted from the project, and for the first time, The Albion Foundation is delivering the NCS programme with Reed in Partnership in the West Midlands.

What is NCS?

NCS is the National Citizen Service. It gives young people aged 15-17 the opportunity to have fun, new experiences and gain important life skills.

What are the benefits of taking part?

  • Meet new people and make new friends
  • Gain new perspectives and maybe even new life goals
  • Experience independence and gain life skills for the future
  • Become attractive to employers, universities and colleges with a growing CV
  • Make a positive difference to yourself and your community

How much does it cost?

£50 for the four-week programme. Bursaries are also available.

When is it?

You can choose one of the two waves this summer:

Wave 1

Lake District residential - 22/06/20 – 26/06/20

University of Birmingham halls residential - 29/06/20 – 03/07/20

Skills and community - 06/07/20 – 10/07/20

Skills and social action - 13/07/20 – 17/07/20

Wave 2

Lake District residential - 06/07/20 – 10/07/20

University of Birmingham halls residential - 13/07/20 – 17/07/20

Skills and community - 20/07/20 – 24/07/20

Skills and social action - 27/07/20 – 31/07/20

What do I need to bring?

A full list of what you need will be sent out. You won’t need to purchase anything new.

My child has additional needs, can they still go?

Yes. We endeavour to ensure all can take part in NCS. Let us know as early as possible so we can make the right provisions available.
