Phillips helps Scotland secure play-off spot

MATT Phillips came off the bench to help Scotland record a 3-2 victory over Israel at Hampden Park on Tuesday - securing Alex McLeish’s men a Euro 2020 play-off spot in the process.

The result also earned Nations League promotion for the Tartan Army after topping League C, Group 1.  

Sam Field played 64 minutes for England Under-20s as they beat Germany 2-0 at Colchester Community Stadium, while Kyle Edwards watched on as an unused substitute. 

Rekeem Harper started as England Under-19s overcame Ireland 3-1, before playing 71 minutes of the 1-0 defeat to Turkey. 

Young stopper Adam Przybek recorded a clean sheet over San Marino as Wales Under-19s earned a 2-0 win in Bangor. 

Louie Barry was on the scoresheet as Ireland Under-16s triumphed 4-0 over Wales, before going toe-to-toe with Albion team-mate Mackenzie Lamb’s Scotland, with the game ending 0-0. Lamb also appeared in a 0-0 draw with Northern Ireland two days earlier.
