FIRST-TEAM Coach Darren Moore confirmed Nacer Chadli and Daniel Sturridge are close to making their Albion comebacks.
Addressing the media for the first time in the Baggies hot seat, Darren gave an injury update ahead of Swansea City's trip to The Hawthorns on Saturday.
Chadli, who has been absent with a thigh problem since December, has been in full training this week, with Liverpool loanee Sturridge also closing in on a return to action.
"Chadli is back in and around the squad," said Darren. "He's a fantastic player. He's got a great personality, too. We're looking forward to having him back.
"Daniel isn't quite there yet but is making real progress. It's great to see them both rubbing shoulders with the boys again. They're excellent players. We'll look a bit healthier next week."
But there wasn't such positive news for Gareth Barry, who is unlikely to feature again for Albion this season. The midfielder has been sidelined since February with a knee injury, last featuring in the club's home clash against Huddersfield Town, and will now undergo surgery.
On Gareth, Darren added: "No player wants an operation, but he needs one. We wish him a speedy recovery and a quick return to training."
