ALBION’S team ethic claimed another victory with the Club now able to boast the Premier League’s Medical and Science Team of the Year.
The Baggies back-up men saw off the challenge of their counterparts of fellow shortlisted crew from Bournemouth and Burnley to claim the honour at the fourth annual awards night.
It's a fully deserved salute from their profession after another season which has seen Albion's sports science team produce a squad which lost the least number of hours on the pitch throughout the season.
Albion made the fewest changes to their starting X1s throughout 2016-17 but gave Head Coach Tony Pulis the most robust group of players in the Premier League.
No wonder their 'gaffer' and Director of Performance Mark Gillett – otherwise known as 'The Doc' within the Club – was delighted for his devoted crew.
"I'm really pleased – it's excellent for everyone's morale and a fully deserved salute to their efforts," he said.
"It's well documented that we have the oldest squad in what we all know is a hugely demanding division and it's all about getting the most out of them.
"I see this as a reward for lots of years of hard work hard work and I'm delighted for the staff.
They are as competitive as the players and they really wanted to win the award.
"I'm very proud and pleased for them."

Enjoying a well deserved swig of champers with The Doc at the awards night were Head of Medical Operations Andrew Leaver, first team performance physio Richie Rawlins, rehab lead Fraser McKinney, first team fitness coach Matt Green, strength and conditioning consultant Nick Grantham, strength and conditioning coach Paul Caldbeck and masseurs George Kiss and Simon Griffiths.
