ALBION earned a valuable Premier League point against Tottenham Hotspur as Nacer Chadli continued his purple patch with a goal against his former club.

The Belgium international struck in the 82nd minute and it looked as though his fourth goal in five games was going to be enough to hand his side all three points at The Hawthorns.

But Spurs, who were denied numerous times in the first half by an outstanding Ben Foster, grabbed a share of the spoils thanks to Dele Alli's calm finish in the 89th minute.

New Albion owner Guochuan Lai was in attendance to watch the 1-1 draw as the club moved on to 10 points from eight games.

Baggies keeper Foster produced a superb first-half display, making four memorable stops from Alli, twice, Christian Eriksen and Ben Davies to keep out the visitors, who arrived at The Hawthorns second in the Premier League table.

Salomon Rondon was denied by Hugo Lloris in the closing stages of the first period while, at the start of the second half, Gareth McAuley mis-timed a great opportunity at close range from Matt Phillips' corner.

Chris Brunt made his long-awaited return from injury as a second-half substitute before both sides struck in the closing stages to claim a point apiece.
