Albion's Under-21s coach parts company with club
ALBION have announced David Oldfield will be leaving his position as the club’s Senior Professional Development Coach for a new challenge at MK Dons.
The 46-year-old will join the League One outfit as their Head of Academy Coaching ahead of the new season.
Oldfield arrived at the Baggies from Peterborough in July 2011 to oversee the Development Squad in the Barclays Under-21 Premier League.
He guided a young Albion XI to Birmingham Senior Cup Final glory twice in the last three seasons.
And he stepped up to assist caretaker boss Keith Downing and goalkeeper coach Dean Kiely with first-team duties during a brief spell at the turn of the year.
Albion Director of Football Administration Richard Garlick said: “David has been a great servant to the club during his time with us.
“His dedication to working with our younger players at The Hawthorns has been unstinting.
“But due to family and professional reasons he feels the move to MK Dons is an opportunity he cannot miss - and we wish him all the best for the future.”
