Mel makes two changes - one enforced

SAIDO Berahino is handed his first start in eight games as Pepe Mel makes two changes – one enforced – to the side that lost 3-1 at Manchester City on Monday.

The England Under-21 international replaces the benched Matej Vydra in attack.

Steven Reid also earns a recall to the starting XI at right-back, with Billy Jones moving to left-back in place of the injured Liam Ridgewell (knee).

Gareth McAuley has failed to recover from a calf problem in time to face the Hammers, meaning Craig Dawson partners Jonas Olsson at the heart of defence.

Sam Allardyce makes one change to the Hammers team that lost 1-0 at home to Crystal Palace last weekend as Guy Demel comes in for the benched Pablo Armero in defence.
