Keen says Albion have plenty of bouncebackability
KEVIN Keen is convinced Albion will produce an improved display against Crystal Palace on Saturday (ko 3pm) – because of the players’ track record of bouncing back.
The joint-assistant head coach believes the Baggies have developed a nice habit of shrugging off setbacks in double quick-time during Steve Clarke’s 15 months at the helm.
Albion will be backed by a sell-out crowd when they bid to get back to winning ways after Saturday’s 4-1 defeat at third-placed Liverpool.
“Since we’ve been at the club, one of the most impressive things about the players is that they can deal with pretty much any defeat,” said Keen.
“We had a little run last year when we lost a last-minute goal to Manchester City and a rubbish last-minute goal at Newcastle, but the players came back in and were straight on it.
“I don’t think losing at Anfield will be too big a dent in their confidence.
“We were on a good run but this is the Premier League and there are tough games every week, so that’s going to happen.”
