Albion News returns

Read the thoughts of Clarke, Brown, Brunt and Jones

AFTER too long away, we return to the ancestral home on Saturday for the visit of Crystal Palace and, like a candle in the window, Albion News will be waiting for you, guiding you back.

There is much to catch up on from a packed month that sees us brushing the dust from games against Arsenal, Stoke City and Liverpool.

Steve Clarke and Tony Brown both reflect on those games in their exclusive columns, while skipper Chris Brunt reflects on just what Albion's new found strength in depth means for the players.

Billy Jones is the victim of our main feature interview and he talks about his strong start to the season, and what it's like to play behind players who suffer from selective deafness.

Academy boss Mark Harrison reveals what Saido Berahino and a bag of chips have in common and we reflect on the resurgence of wingers in the game, here and elsewhere.

For the art critics among you, Paine Proffitt helps throw light upon an epic FA Cup semi-final win that took Everton down and paved the way to a unique double for this club, and he also gives us a glimpse of a former Palace star, Don Rogers.

"A Love Supreme" takes us back to the days when supporters were required to wear fancy dress if ever we approached Wembley while, steady girls, "A Final Note" features some Albion stalwarts in the bath.

So, hand over just three of the Queen's English pounds and treat yourself to the finest read this side of hunkering down with the boy Tolstoy. You know it makes sense.
