Albion Art Attack winner meets her Baggies favourite Foster
LAUREN Morgan made it a day to remember as the winner of the club’s Albion Art Attack competition as she met her favourite player Ben Foster on a visit to the Baggies' training ground. The 12-year-old Albion fan came out on top after we invited youngsters to send in designs, based on a 'West Brom Winter Wonderland' theme, for the front cover of Saturday’s programme at the Norwich match.
We narrowed the hundreds of high-quality entries to a top ten and thousands of Albion fans had their say in our poll - run at our official Facebook page (click here) – with Lauren's design proving the most popular.
It will now feature on the front cover of the Norwich City edition of 'ALBION', which will be available all around the ground for only £3.
As part of her prize, Lauren, from Scawsby near Doncaster, was invited to the club's training ground to meet the players and she is pictured posing with an enlarged mock-up of the front cover alongside Albion No.1 Foster.
Lauren said: “It’s amazing to win.
“I love art and the Baggies.
“I noticed how far ahead I was in the voting but I was still nervous.
“When it came to my design ’Tis the season to be Boinging’ seemed to cover Christmas and West Brom.
“My granddad was an Albion fan and my dad is, so it’s just in the family.
“I like Ben Foster because whenever I play football I was always play goalkeeper.
“To visit the training ground and meet him was fantastic and the day was absolutely amazing.”
Lauren was joined by dad David, mum Jane and older brother Matthew on their club visit as preparations were finalised for the Canaries clash.
For the remainder of her prize, Lauren and her family will also be given the VIP treatment at the Norwich City game.
