Bio

Brandon quickly adapted to Championship football when he moved to Albion in August 2022.

The powerful, pacy striker ended his first term in B71 as the club's leading talisman with nine goals from 35 games and scooped the Top Goalscorer trophy, as well as the Goal of the Season Award for his spectacular strike v Stoke City back in November 2022.

Thomas-Asante's professional career began at MK Dons, a club he'd been at since a young age in the Buckinghamshire side's academy. Karl Robinson was the manager to hand "BTA" his maiden senior bow, starting the attacker in a 3-2 EFL Trophy win over Newport County in August 2016.

Brandon's first senior goal arrived in a different cup competition as the forward netted in a 3-2 triumph over Spennymoor in the first round of the Emirates FA Cup. Although he made his league debut that same year, he'd have to wait until his move to Salford in 2019 to bag his first ever league goal.

BTA gained more experience in non-league towards the end of his time at Stadium MK, with spells at Sutton United and Oxford City before making a permanent switch to Ebbsfleet in August 2019.

It wouldn't be a long stay with the National League outfit, however, as Salford saw potential in Thomas-Asante and made him part of their squad - with the attacker making his City debut just a month later against Aston Villa's U21s in the EFL Trophy.

The MK Dons academy product ended his first term at the Peninsula Stadium with 10 direct goal involvements (six goals, four assists) to his name in 21 matches and the attacker's goalscoring exploits would continue during his time in Manchester - recording 30 goals from 90 starts in the red of Salford.

More of the same followed at the beginning of the 2022/23 campaign as BTA scored five goals in seven appearances across all competitions to earn himself a move to The Hawthorns in August, starting a new journey in the forward's career and creating hunger for a new challenge with the Baggies over the coming seasons.
