Morton stars in loan round-up

Callum Morton continued his fine start to life on loan with Northampton Town by netting a brace in their 3-0 win at Grimsby on Saturday.

The striker, voted their Player of the Month for February, has now scored five from his first eight appearances for the League Two side - who currently sit sixth in the table.

Meanwhile in the same division Alex Palmer completed 90 minutes between the sticks for Plymouth during their narrow 2-1 defeat at Bradford.

He picked up the Man of the Match award despite the defeat, earning 46.5 per cent of the vote from Argyle supporters.

Elsewhere Nick Clayton-Phillips came on for the final 11 minutes as Solihull Moors won 3-0 against Dover in the National League.

And Oliver Burke was a second-half substitute for Alaves in their 1-1 La Liga draw at Leganes.
