Sporting and Technical Director Luke Dowling has his say on the summer of change at Albion in Sunday’s matchday programme for the Huddersfield clash.
Luke, who has overseen the appointment of Slaven Bilić, a new coaching staff, nine new signings and an Academy restructure, reflects on what has been a demanding summer for the Baggies management in the latest edition of Albion News.
“If last season taught us anything it is that the Championship is no place for the faint-hearted and we are in for another gruelling marathon which no team will complete without experiencing difficult moments,” writes Luke.
“But I am equally positive that in our Head Coach we have a leader who has the experience, quality and know-how to lead us through the ups and downs of the campaign while at the same time developing a cohesive team with a pleasing style and clear identity.
“These are surely positives when you consider the enormous changes with which the Club has grappled following last season’s disappointing climax.”
In the big interview, Jake Livermore opens his heart about the changes in his life since injury forced him to miss the end of last season and talks of how the pre-season trip to Benidorm brought a “reassessment” of his Albion future.
It makes for fascinating reading in the new-look Albion News which will be available at £3.50 from all the usual outlets.
