All aboard the fans’ express

Tamworth-based Baggies fans have enjoyed a successful launch of their independent travel service to home games.

And now a second group of fans based in Cannock are planning to run a similar service.

The new Tamworth “fans’ express” made its debut for the Blackburn Rovers clash with 31 supporters taking up the chance to share a communal ride to The Hawthorns.

The service was launched to replace the Hawthorns Express and will be operating again for the next home game, against Huddersfield Town, on Sunday, September 22 (ko 12noon).

The 49-seater luxury coach will be at Tamworth Assembly Rooms at 9.50am on the morning of the Huddersfield game ready for a 10am departure. The price for a return trip is just £10.

If you are interested in using this service you can contact Martin by email at m_clempson@sky.com or call him on 07939 561761.

Meanwhile, Cannock-based fans have also launched their own independent service and are looking to drum-up more support for the journeys.

Offering a service for supporters in the Cannock and Stafford areas, their bus will leave The Chetwynd Arms at Brocton two hours and 15 minutes before kick-off with pick up from Cannock bus station 15 minutes later.

The price for the Cannock service is £7.50.

Nigel Jones (07817 923 369) is the contact if you are interested in joining fellow Baggies fans on the ride to The Hawthorns.
