Bilić praises ‘different class’ supporters

Slaven Bilić says Albion’s band of travelling support are the secret to his side’s success on the road.

The Baggies claimed their fifth away win of the season at Stoke City with more than 2,500 fans making the trip up the M6 to provide their team with raucous backing at the bet365 Stadium.

And the head coach insists he will not “underestimate” a victory that takes his team back to the summit of the Sky Bet Championship table.

“I’m happy with three points as it was a difficult game,” he said. “We started extremely well and we were controlling the game when we were winning 2-0.

“I’m not going to underestimate our victory as it is a Monday night in November away at Stoke.

“We have a good team, with good confidence, and momentum and confidence. It all came from the quality and hard work - but we have to be more greedy and clinical.

“It’s three brilliant points and the guys that came from the bench lifted us. It’s great, there’s no injuries and we got a clean sheet.

He added: “Since day one the fans have been different class, in numbers and in sound.

“You really feel it, and I can hear it the whole time. The players too are saying the same.

“They are brilliant and they are one of the biggest reasons we are playing so good away from home this season. They are top.”
