Moore focused on maintaining performance levels

Darren Moore says his sole focus is on ensuring the high level of performance produced in recent matches is replicated against Sheffield United.

The Baggies return to The Hawthorns for the visit of the Blades having picked up back-to-back victories away from home at Aston Villa and QPR.

Albion have taken 10 points from the last 12 on offer in the Sky Bet Championship, propelling Moore’s men to within one point of United, who occupy second place heading into Saturday’s clash.

But the boss wants his players’ attention to be on producing another impressive display and nothing more.

He said: “We’ve had back-to-back victories on the road and spirits are high in the group.

“The players have been excellent and we have been together as a group.

“It was good to put those performances in and come away with maximum points.

“Results breed confidence and togetherness and credit must go to the players, staff and fans.

“We now have to reset ourselves because we have another difficult game coming up at The Hawthorns.

“I can’t stop excitement levels outside of the building, but it does show that we are doing something right on the pitch.

“I need to make sure performance levels are kept to a high standard. It’s really important for us to maintain that.

“Sheffield United play an exciting style of football and they are also very hard working. They are where they are in the league because that’s where they deserve to be.

“They’ll present a very stern test.”
