Loan action for young Baggies

4 February 2019

Dara O’Shea and Kane Wilson's loan spells at Exeter City are proving to be fruitful for all involved, as they gained more playing time whilst strengthening the Grecians' bid for a top-six spot at the weekend.

The Baggies youngsters helped Exeter move level on points with their play-off rivals MK Dons, beating them 3-1 at St James Park.

Dara O’Shea played the full game, whilst Kane Wilson came on for the last 20 minutes.

In Scotland, Oliver Burke played just over an hour for Celtic against St Johnstone in a game that the Scottish champions won 2-0.

Elsewhere, Jack Fitzwater was an unused sub for Walsall, whilst Nick Clayton-Phillips, Sam Wilding, Adam Przybek and Kyle Howkins were unfortunate to miss out on game time as their proposed fixtures fell foul of the weather.

However, Dan Meredith could make his second appearance for Maidstone United against Salford City in the FA Trophy on Tuesday night, and Leganes play Rayo Vallecano on Monday night, a game in which Allan Nyom could be involved in.
