‘Unity’ key to Hawthorns form

DARREN Moore says “unity” has been key to Albion’s winning streak on home turf.

The Baggies go into Wednesday’s encounter with Derby County on the back of five successive Sky Bet Championship victories at The Hawthorns.

And the gaffer insists the “bond” between players, staff and supporters will be pivotal to extending that run of form.

“I think the key to our home form has been the players’ enjoyment of playing here in front of the home fans.

“I think the fans have got right behind the players and I think there has been a great unity with everybody.

“Long may we continue, we need to continue that. Everybody is working.

“Wednesday night against a very good team, we all need to be working again, in terms of getting behind the players who will be working hard on the pitch in trying to get the right result.

“I believe there has been a real bond from everybody connected with West Bromwich Albion, which is good and long may that continue.

“I keep echoing that each and every single game. That has been my message from day one as we all need each other.

“There are so many difficult hurdles for us to cross and I believe the only way we will do it is if everyone comes together and plays their part.

“We’ve had that here at The Hawthorns and the away travelling support has been superb.”
