Sheffield Wednesday v Albion match preview

ALBION travel to Hillsborough on Wednesday evening as they look to claim back-to-back away wins in the Sky Bet Championship (ko 7.45pm).

The opposition

Before the midweek fixtures Sheffield Wednesday sat 12th in the table having picked up 15 points by winning four, drawing three and losing three of their opening 10 fixtures.

They are managed by former Borussia Monchengladbach, FC Augsburg and Stuttgart boss Jos Luhukay - who took over in January 2018 and guided the Club to a 15th placed finish last season.

Over the summer the Owls brought in Josh Onomah and Michael Hector on loan from Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea respectively, with Jordan Rhodes going the other way to Norwich City for the season and defender Jack Hunt also leaving for an undisclosed fee to Bristol City.

Last time out

The most recent fixture between the two teams was back in March 2010 when the Baggies recorded a 1-0 win over Wednesday at The Hawthorns.

Earlier that season Albion had beaten the Owls 4-0 at Hillsborough thanks to a Simon Cox brace as well as goals from Jerome Thomas and Chris Brunt.
