Everton U18s 3 Albion U18s 3

ALBION's under-18s produced an impressive performance to become the first team to take a point off of table-topping Everton in a 3–3 thriller at Finch Farm on Saturday.

Everton went ahead inside two minutes through Ellis Simms, but Albion were level just over half-an-hour later thanks to Zak Brown’s strike.

Soon after, Josh Griffiths fantastically saved an Everton penalty before making another string of stops as Louie Barry then fired the Baggies into the lead on the stroke of half-time.

Kieran Phillips equalised straight after the break for the Toffees but, in stunning fashion, Peter Taylor struck a 30-yard effort to fire Albion back in front.

Simms bagged his second and Everton’s third on 58 minutes to make it 3-3, with the sides sharing a point each thanks in part to a series of late heroic Griffiths saves.
