DARREN Moore and Dwight Gayle have won the Sky Bet Championship’s top awards for September.
Unbeaten-in-September Moore has been named Manager of the Month, while free-scoring Gayle picks up the Player of the Month award.
Gayle netted five goals in as many games during September, helping Moore’s men claim 13 points with four wins and a draw.
Darren said: “We all share this award, it’s not mine, it’s ours.
“It shows what’s been going on at the football club over the last six months. Everyone related to the club is pulling in the right direction and long may it continue.
“Everyone has played their part, whether they be staff, players, fans, stewards, ticket office staff, commercial, the media team - they are all behind this.”
Dwight added: “It’s obviously a nice achievement for myself personally but I’d like to thank the team because they’re a massive reason behind me performing so well.
“Jay and I up top together has worked well but the whole team is helping out and the way we set out to play gives us great chances.”
