Maureen Weaver named Fans' Champion

ALBION supporter Maureen Weaver will receive a special early Mother's Day treat on Saturday having been nominated as our Fans' Champion.

Long-time Baggies fan Maureen, put forward by her daughter Kerry, is living with multiple sclerosis (MS) and cancer and has been receiving chemotherapy and radiotherapy, but only missed one Albion match during her treatment schedule.

Maureen will appear on the Hawthorns pitch 15 minutes ahead of kick-off in the club's Premier League clash against Leicester City before having the honour of carrying the matchball to the plinth.

In addition, 10 Baggies supporters have also nominated their moms to receive an in-stadium surprise pre-match against the Foxes, which comes just a day before Mother's Day.

Do you know someone who has shown devotion and passion for the Baggies and should be celebrated as our Fans’ Champion?

Send your nomination to The Albion Foundation, Ford Street, Smethwick, B67 7QY or email info@albionfoundation.co.uk.
