Baggies selected for international friendlies

A host of Albion players will represent their countries in friendlies during the international fortnight.

Skipper Jonny Evans and Gareth McAuley have been selected for Northern Ireland’s Belfast date with South Korea, while Jake Livermore has received a call-up from Gareth Southgate for England’s fixtures against The Netherlands and Italy.  

Our Egyptian defensive pairing of Ali Gabr and Ahmed Hegazi will play Portugal and Greece in Zurich, Switzerland.  

Allan Nyom returns to international football with Cameroon as they travel to Kuwait.

Grzegorz Krychowiak joins Poland for their home double against Nigeria and South Korea.  

James McClean is away with the Republic of Ireland squad for their friendly in Turkey on Friday night.

Matt Phillips will represent Scotland in their friendlies against Costa Rica and Hungary, while fellow countryman Oliver Burke heads to Andorra for a European Under-21 Championship qualifier.

Sam Field features in Keith Downing’s England Under-20s squad for their exhibition games against Poland and Portugal.
