International community coach vacancies

An innovative and exciting partnership between an established Premier League Football Club with a rich history and a renowned Academy system, the Albion Foundation (registered Charity 1081948) a highly regarded and respected charity and Palm Sports in China linked to the WBA ownership has been tasked with developing grass roots football and the development of talented players and coaches in China.

We are creating an International department with an immediate focus in China and have an opportunity for talented and enthusiastic coaches with a commitment to improving themselves and others.

Initial 3 to 4 months’ probationary period with the opportunity for this to be extended for a further 8 to 9 months after a performance review. Beyond this a rolling 1-year contract again based on performance. Salary Range - £16,000 - £19,000 with a potential bonus

Purpose: 

Responsibility for delivering grass roots football coaching in schools and community clubs in China to improve players and develop the “Albion Way” ethos

You: 

  • Will have a minimum level 2 football coaching qualification
  • Will have experience and a passion for coaching at grassroots level
  • Will have an ability to enthuse, inspire and develop young players
  • Will have an adventurous, outgoing personality and be able to adapt to and thrive in a new country and culture
  • Will have a thirst for learning and improving yourself as a coach

WBA FC International Community Coach – Job Specification

37-hour per week contract - £16,000 - £19,000 per annum

Purpose:

  • To deliver football coaching sessions within Chinese schools and Community Clubs for players ranging from 5 to 16. This to include, planning, monitoring and evaluation of sessions and activities.
  • Maintain and enhance the quality and support growth of the provision.

Responsible to:

  • Head of International Coaching

Duties:

  • To deliver a structured football coaching programme to the high quality standards of West Bromwich Albion Football Club
  • Perform administration duties to support programmes, such as attendance information, distribution of information to schools and other organisations.
  • Develop grassroots football by supporting the Head of International Coaching with Coach development for local grassroots coaches.
  • Ensure all provision is delivered in a safe environment and all safeguarding regulations are followed.
  • Ensure all equipment is prepared and suitable for each session, this includes first aid kits.
  • Promote a positive and professional image at all times.
  • Any other duties deemed appropriate by Sports Development Manager or equivalent.
