Neil Cutler interview

NEIL Cutler says Albion's goalkeepers have embraced his coaching style as they continue their quest to improve as players.

And the Baggies coach, who joined from Walsall just two-and-a-half weeks ago, believes he has already seen an improvement in his stoppers.

"All three of the goalies I'm working with in the first-team structure have been fantastic in terms of buying into my philosophy and what I want - they have been a delight to work with.

"I've been very, very impressed with them. I know their characters and I know what they are like. They want to move forward and improve, even at 34, 35. You can't just come in and tickle them, you have to come in and test them.

"They've been in the Premier League for a long time and it's important they are tested and pushed to improve.

"You have to take care of them and test them every day, more than they are ever tested on a weekend so when that game day comes it becomes easy.

"I'm very pleased with Ben, he has bought into everything I've asked of him. We've implemented a few things into his game and it's already working. It's the best thing about him - that he's willing to try things.

"Our goalkeepers will be massively important for us."
