Albion v Brentford match preview

ALBION return to The Hawthorns with a Sky Bet Championship game against Brentford on Monday night (ko 8pm).

The opposition

Brentford currently sit 18th in the table having collected 21 points from their 19 fixtures so far this season.

Former boss Dean Smith had been in charge of The Bees for just under three years before he left to join Aston Villa in October, with Thomas Frank subsequently being promoted from assistant to Head Coach.

Frank, who managed Danish side Brondby IF between 2013 and 2016, has had a tough start to life at the helm, winning one and losing six of his first seven games.

Last time out

Albion were emphatic winners in the most recent meeting between the sides.

A brace from Rob Hulse, as well as goals from Bernt Haas and Scott Dobie, earned the Baggies a comfortable 4-0 Carling Cup victory way back in August 2003.
