'Super Bob' Ale launched

ALBION hero, ‘Super Bob’ Taylor, has brewed a super beer in aid of The Albion Foundation.

Brewed in partnership with Blind Monkey, 'Super Bob's Ale' will launch at the Stoke game this Saturday and the man himself will be in the Fanzone pre-match to pull some pints.

"It's not my beer, it's the Foundation's," said Bob.

"I want to give back to the football club and be a part of the community.

"This isn't a money-making scheme for myself, the Foundation benefit from it financially to give back to the community."

It's not only a financial benefit for the charity, as the Foundation's Partnerships Officer, Jonanthan Ward, explained.

"The beer will be raising funds for the Foundation but also raising awareness.

"It's fantastic to have an Albion hero as an ambassador of a Foundation product.

"Bob's done cycle challenges and fans forums and now to do this epitomises former players giving back to the community and he leads by example."

Already sponsoring West Bromwich Albion Women Football Club this season, the latest venture between Blind Monkey and the Foundation further strengthens the organisations' link.

"We're very proud to be brewing beers for the Foundation and to have Bob on board," said Blind Monkey co-owner, Ian Bradshaw.

"We have been working closely with the charity over the past year or so and this is another exciting project for us to both be involved in," added fellow co-owner, Will Stephenson.

"At Blind Monkey we are passionate about helping those in our local area, so knowing that a sum from the sales will go back into the community is pleasing."
