IN 1978, Cyrille Regis was a member of the Albion team that walked part of the Great Wall of China.
Now, his wife, Julia, will tackle the challenge 40 years on to raise funds for The Albion Foundation and the Cyrille Regis Legacy Trust.
"I'm really looking forward to an adventure," said Julia.
"I'm a little bit apprehensive, I've never done anything like this – it's a huge challenge."
21 volunteers will walk 50 miles of the wall over five days in October for Albion's charitable arm.
"I'm excited to raise money for the Foundation and the charity we're setting up to continue Cyrille's legacy and also connect with something he had done 40 years ago."
Cyrille had planned to take on the event himself in aid of the Foundation before his passing in January.
"I remember him talking about it and we were saying what an exciting opportunity it is," said Julia.
"Doing this will help me connect to him and enjoy and experience something that he had planned to do."
Julia also made special mention of the backing from the Baggies faithful she and her family have experienced since Cyrille's passing.
"The support from the Albion fan base has been absolutely fantastic - they've shown a lot of love and support."
Money raised will be divided between the Foundation and the Cyrille Regis Legacy Trust - to donate click here.
